Actuarial Analyst III (Individual & Small Group Pricing)

Preferred Location: Chicago, IL

Alternate Locations: Indianapolis IN; Mason, OH; St. Louis, MO; Louisville, KY; Waukesha, WI; Atlanta, GA; Richmond, VA; Virginia Beach, VA

The Actuarial Analyst III completes very diverse and complicated projects and performs very complex actuarial studies. Position will serve as Assistant Pricing Lead for a specific state and will support individual and small group pricing.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes and implements risk contracts including conducting experience analyses, pricing, filing and settlement work; and prepares management reports supporting new capitation initiatives.

  • Assists in training of actuarial trainees, analysts and specialists.

  • Coordinates/directs special actuarial projects.

Qualifications

  • Requires a BS/BA degree; required to have passed at least four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams; at least 3 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Individual and Small Group pricing experience highly desired.

Qualifications * Requires a BS/BA degree; required to have passed at least three Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams; at least 1 year of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. * Proficient in MS Excel required. * Data manipulation and technical skills using a variety of tools and data source preferred; SAS, SQL, and RStudio preferred.
