Under the direction of the Manager , analyzes, develops, coordinates and supports business processing, reporting and integration services; performs highly complex duties that require a technology expertise, district policies and procedures and the application of standard procedures to various scenarios requiring independent analysis and interpretation of district and department policies and procedures. Develops and refines routines for optimal work completion. Supervision received is general in nature and daily responsibilities are completed independently and interaction with supervisors limited to problems or unusual conditions.

  • Collaborates with management on daily operations, deadlines, & software issues, and coordinates implementation of new or revised business processes and procedures.

  • Collects and disseminates data, maintains records, and interprets reports requiring utilizing references from sources; prepares and maintains complex statistical reports including  format design implementing complex tables, charts and graphs; conducts studies to provide requested reports.

  • Drafts forms, composes original correspondence and compiles factual reports which require exercise of judgment and knowledge of departmental and district procedures.

  • Initiates, maintains and manages exchange of electronic data to record or verify a variety of complex or encoded data; receives and reviews input and output data; maintains and revises lists, control records and other source documents.

  • Identifies, researches, analyzes and interprets data to generate reports.

  • Researches users' technical questions and resolves data discrepancies; works with vendor's technical support staff.

  • Answers telephones and directs calls to designated personnel. Responds to questions and inquiries by providing technical information requiring knowledge of department operations and procedures; exercises discretion in determining the type of information disseminated; refers unusual inquiries to supervisor.

  • Responds both orally and in writing to questions relative to the application of district and departmental procedures.

  • Operates computer and/or laptop, calculator, photocopier, fax machine and other office equipment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education: High School Diploma and one to two years' additional training or coursework in a program with relevant coursework.

Required Experience: Three (3) years relevant experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of operating systems.

  • Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation and composition.

  • Thorough knowledge of modern business office practices, procedures and skill in their applications.

  • Knowledge of and proficiency in the use computers, computer applications and software including Microsoft Office Suite, social media and web based applications.

  • Strong written communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate communications.

  • Deadline and detail-oriented, with strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills.

  • Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data, and prepare reports from such records.

  • Ability to compose a wide variety of correspondence without specific instructions.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff, employees, students and the general public.

  • Demonstrated motivational and problem solving capabilities with a high degree of integrity, ethics, and dedication to the mission of the MATC.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and relate well with students, parents, faculty, staff, and others while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and promote a positive working environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs., carry, and push up to 20 lbs. and ability pull up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to climb stairs and a ladder and maintain balance.

  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, hear and speak.

  • Sitting/Standing/Walking: 75% of time spent sitting, 20% of time standing, and 5% of time walking.

Hours

An Activity Facilitator/Casual Employee is one who is not expected to work more than 75 hours per year. Shifts may vary and will be determined by the lead overseeing the position.
