Job Responsibilities

Activities Coordinator is responsible for the planning and implementation of recreational activities for residents. Those activities also need to take place on weekends. Hours do not need to take place on weekends but the arrangement of activities( and staff to support them) must be in place.

  • Assesses residents' needs and develops plans for programming that meets identified needs. Leads or assists with conducting programming

  • Follows appropriate and adequate safety measures while on outings

  • Assures residents are supervised at all times while in planned groups/outings, etc. Reports signs / symptoms of resident infections to appropriate staff

  • Properly cleans/sanitizes supplies/equipment according to set schedule


  • Must be eligible for certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or as an Activities Professional by a recognized accrediting body or have the ability to satisfactorily complete an accredited training program approved by the state in which the center/campus is located is preferred; training in communication with visually and hearing impaired individuals as well as aphasic individuals is preferred.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of caring for people with special needs; ability and desire to be creative and ability to adapt programs and supplies to meet individual resident needs.

Execute change order as required for work performed beyond the original sold scope. * Record daily inspections of jobsites, equipment, DOT, daily JSA, and all other documentation required to perform the Crew Lead duties using a jobsite notebook. * Perform routine service and maintenance on tools, and arrange for timely maintenance to be performed on vehicles and equipment. * Active role in interviewing hiring and integrating new employees into the Lester team. Provide recommendations for promotions, demotions and wage adjustments. * Involvement with employee relations/ performance discussions. Qualifications * Minimum of 3 years carpentry experience. * 2 years post frame experience (preferred). * Previous experience working in a supervisory role. * Ability to read construction blue prints and other documents provided for the construction of the building. * Valid driver's license and meet driving criteria guidelines. * The ability to work effectively as a team member. * Willingness to comply with all company safety policies and procedures. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 75 lbs. * Ability to work at various heights. * Ability to bend, stoop, and pickup product from various elevations. * Ability to work in various types of weather conditions.
