This position is part-time with 15-20 hours per week scheduled. General hours will be 4pm-8pm during the week and 2pm-6pm on weekends.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must be friendly and desire to work with the elderly population.
Must be a good listener, organized, and able to work independently under the direction of other activity staff.
Must know and uphold Resident Rights and resident dignity.
Assist in organizing and leading activities for the resident of the healthcare units, including Dementia units.
Maintain confidentiality regarding conversations with residents and families, unless the health and well-being of the resident is affected.
Assist with transporting residents and being available during organized evening activities planned for the Heritage Pointe community.
Provide 1:1 activity interactions with residents.
Assist in performing any other duties as requested by the Activity Department.
Complete facility in-services, as required by the facility.
Maintain good working relations with staff in all departments.
