Activities Entertainment Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Activities Pool Deck Host you will be responsible for creating "Real Life Magic" for our guests at The Peak pool and activities areas. The Pool Deck Host will oversee and facilitate all pool deck activities. It is expected that the host will provide a 5-star guest experience while also facilitating activities on and around the pool deck and activities areas. This associate would also be responsible for making sure all areas of responsibility are clean and tidy and in proper order for our guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Curate "Real Life Magic" experiences for our guests by providing fun and entertaining activities at The Peak pool deck for guests of all ages.

• Seeks out guest interactions while displaying enthusiasm and boundless amounts of energy and socializes with guests around The Peak.

• Host coordinates and emcee's multiple events throughout a shift to include but not exclusive to bingo, trivia, game shows and kid's activities.

• Assist management team in development of The Peak Pool activities programming.

• Provides information, brochures, and literature to guests pertaining to the resort.

• Informs Director of Resort Activities and Recreation Operations Manager on progress through weekly programing.

• Sit in on Events meetings with management to discuss growth and development of activities for holiday weekends and special events.

• Addresses guest issues by listening, apologizing, and solving their issues. Follow up with management.

• Other job duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Ability to capture and manage the attention of a large group of people using effective and courteous microphone techniques.

• Completion of high school or basic education equivalency

• One to two years master of ceremonies or professional entertainment (theatre, music, dance, comedy, etc.) experience with resorts, cruise lines, entertainment or recreational industries is preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written command of the English language, knowledge of another language(s) is a plus.

• Superior customer service, teambuilding and conflict resolution skills

• Must be professional, polished and guest service oriented.

• Friendly, passionate, and out-going personality.

• Knowledge of outdoor adventure activities is preferred.

• Ability to stand up to 8 hours at a time.

• Ability to perform high intensity activities and tasks.

• Guest service experience

• Must be able to work a variety of shifts - including holidays, weekends, etc.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Ability to effectively perform multiple tasks.
