Nature and scope

Develops, modifies, evaluates and implements Activity programs for the Community that embrace and fulfill the social needs and interests of the senior population living and visiting the Community.

Minimum eligibility requirements

  • Certification as required by State regulations for activities.

  • High level of ability in effective and succinct communication, written and oral with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public.

  • Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.

  • Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.

  • Practice and promote Affinity Living Group Policies and Procedures, Mission Statement, Core Values and Founding Principles.

  • Must have exceptional organizational skills.

  • Must have experience in planning, organizing and executing a varied schedule of life enrichment opportunities for all levels of seniors from those who are very active to those with cognitive impairments resulting from Alzheimer's and related dementias.

  • Ability to supervise employees.

  • Ability to set up and train volunteers.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to represent the Community in a positive and professional manner.

  • Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members and staff.

  • Maintain applicable state requirements of dementia specific training.

  • Requires current First Aid and CPR certification.

  • Must meet all health requirements.

  • Must have valid driver's license.

  • Must pass Motor Vehicle Report requirements.

  • Must pass criminal background check.

  • Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation.

Essential functions

  • Responsible for the daily life enrichment program schedule for all levels of ability seven (7) days a week.

  • Prepare monthly newsletter for distribution to all residents and families.

  • Educates, trains and encourages team members on life enrichment opportunities to make meaningful connections.

  • Gathers information to compile a biography on each person who moves in, keeping the essence of the individual alive to team members and family and friends. (Assisted Living and Memory Care)

  • Develops and pursues a varied program of meaningful activities and events that is balanced in the physical, spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, vocational and cognitive elements.

  • Meets and greets each person upon move-in to welcome them and their family and friends to the Community.

  • Arranges for community groups to come into the Community, such as pet therapy, schools, churches, and entertainers.

  • Decorates the common areas for special events and holidays.

  • Conducts individual and group interactions.

  • Maintains inventory of supplies and manages budget.

  • Attends management meetings.

  • Leads and develops family support group meetings.

  • Interacts with local media to promote the life enrichment program in the external community.

  • Develops a program of outings that encourages the people who live in Affinity Living Group communities to be involved in their external community.

  • Any other duties assigned by the Executive Director.

VIEW JOBS 9/13/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-12T00:00 JOB SUMMARY The Customer Relationship Specialist is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through effectively overseeing and coordinating a series of functions related to the full lifecycle of the customer experience. The Customer Relationship Specialist partners with Sales and Operations on activities related to communicating laboratory capabilities to current and potential clients. The Customer Relationship Specialist is the primary internal business interface for our customers. This position will be responsible for properly setting up and welcoming customers, ensuring proper and timely communications are in place. It will also act as the liaison between Customers and our Laboratories, Technical Sales Managers/Account Managers and other functions as needed. The CRS will assist in identifying new opportunities with existing customers and ensure new leads are properly routed to the Sales function. Serving the unique needs of each account is critical to Microbac's' overall success in growing the business. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Maintaining a high level of customer contact, the Customer Relationship Specialist will gain a thorough understanding of client needs and act as the liaison between the client and our laboratory staff teams for setting up new projects with either new or existing clients. * Draft proposals, protocol cover letters, and other documentation and distributes as necessary * Works to ensure proper execution of the welcoming and on boarding process in a consistent, professional, and timely manner for all assigned accounts. Accountable for accurate account set up and responsible for setting up programs and testing information in the laboratory information management system and any other system set ups critical to customer management. * As part of the onboarding process, review first Sample Submission Form and invoice with the customer to verify that appropriate tests and reporting format are as requested. * Host clients that visit for sales presentations and facility audits * Supports quality and proactively participates in continuous improvement initiatives in the department by contacting clients to obtain feedback after studies are complete. * Maintain and grow overall client satisfaction through collaboratively working with clients to provide services that meet their needs and exceed their expectations * Effectively communicate customer requirements and coordinate set-up of projects with internal departments not limited to Customer Relations, Sales, and Laboratory Operations to ensure client needs are addressed in a timely and appropriate manner. * Assists in communication/resolution of billing issues. * Field incoming leads and, if applicable, ensure they are transferred to the correct TSM/AM/Sales * Assumes accountability for the promptness of completing tasks and projects * Suggests new products and/or services through evaluation of client needs through generating ideas for consideration * Identify cross selling and/or other customer intelligence that may be useful in creating new opportunities for existing customers * Provide support to the Sales teams and other CR team members. This may include customer visits or back up support for other team members. * Remain current on State, Federal, and International regulations as they pertain to the overall business strategy of the company * Participate in annual training certification to maintain working knowledge of tools required to perform the job; not limited to the Laboratory Information Management System, CRM, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) * Perform other related duties as needed. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Chemistry, Biology or a related field of study. A general knowledge of testing methods or scientific process (within the appropriate market) obtained from a degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or direct relevant laboratory experience is preferred to provide support to clients of the company. * A minimum of 5 years of related industry experience * Technical understanding of industry or subject area * Excellent customer service skills, to include strong verbal and written communication skills * Exceptional ability to effectively convey technical knowledge, troubleshoot and solve problems, to cooperate and be helpful to others * Familiarity with concepts and terminology commonly used within the industry * Familiarity with regulatory requirements, common practices and trends as they relate to the industry * General knowledge of personal computer operations is necessary including spreadsheet, word processing and relational database * Multi-tasking, prioritization, superior follow up and organizational skills and attention to detail are also required for success in this role. * Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, organize and lead projects * Desire to work collaboratively with clients and internal staff teams to achieve common goals PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Prior experience working in a laboratory environment WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
