Active Directory and Office 365 Engineer

The Active Directory and Office 365 Engineer will ensure infrastructure solutions are proficiently designed, implemented and supported during the entire infrastructure lifecycle. The candidate will administer and maintain a complex Active Directory environment encompassing multiple cross-forest trusts and containing over one hundred thousand objects. Responsibilities will also include administration and maintenance of Azure Active Directory and Office 365 SaaS offerings, with an emphasis on Exchange Online.

Duties:

  • Administer and maintain ADFS, DNS and WSUS infrastructures.

  • Provision and deprovision access and permissions to resources in on-premises Active Directory and cloud-hosted Azure environments.

  • Administer, maintain and troubleshoot the domain controller footprint to ensure the overall health of the Directory.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-premises and Azure Active Directory synchronization issues (Azure AD Connect).

  • Troubleshoot Active Directory, Azure and Office 365 issues pertaining to authentication and authorization as well as any other incidents that are escalated to our ITSM queue.

  • Perform mail migrations from source (Exchange, Google, Office 365) to Office 365/Exchange Online.

  • Implement and manage email hygiene and message transport policies (EOP/TLS/Zix).

  • Perform bulk user/mailbox object modifications using PowerShell.

  • Troubleshoot mail flow and mail delivery issues.

  • Create custom mailbox reports using PowerShell.

  • Enforce mailbox access protocol policies via PowerShell automation.

Education:

Bachelors degree in Information Systems or equivalent with relevant and progressive work experience and 5 years related experience.

Experience:
4+ years with Office 365 or Active Directory administration, DNS, and relevant technologies.

Work Schedule:

May require weekend work or additional hours; depending on project status.

The ideal candidate is proficient in the troubleshooting, installation, configuration, operation, design and maintenance of a windows and virtualization environment with responsibilities for delivering technology solutions and ensuring stability for a global server environment. This role requires interaction with other State Street support development teams and clients, therefore strong communication and interpersonal skills are required as well as a desire for delivering great solutions and services. Responsibilities: * Work with Project Management team to understand requirements and develop/implement complex projects * Assist with the development and implementation of standards processes and procedures to ensure service level requirements are met and improve overall quality of solutions. * Support maintain and improve the global corporate virtual server infrastructure * Respond promptly to incidents. Provides solutions to issues based on prescribed guidelines or procedures.
