Overview

Acquisition Specialist- Journeyman:

Bowhead seeks a Acquisition Specialist- Journeyman for a proposal effort in California, MD area that can support and draft program milestone related documentation to ensure compliance with all aspects of the DoD and SECNAV 5000 series directives.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

• Supports the development of program acquisition documentation such as APs, Acquisition Strategy Reports (ASR), PIDs, SOWs, funding documents, CDRLs, and Acquisition Program Baseline Agreements (APBAs).

• Assess program procedures, practices, philosophies, and documentation for compliance with specifications, contracts, and mission requirements

• Attends, participates, supports, analyzes, provides input, develops, prepares and reports on briefs, point papers, reports, correspondence, meetings, conferences, and review boards

• Other acquition documentation duties as assigned

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with less than three (3) years' experience performing duties described in the functional description

• Ability to follow guidance and Program Office Managers direction

• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
