The Acquisition Specialist shall provide acquisition and contract management support for a variety of organizations across the Center.
Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Receive and process performance plans and updates, and awards.
Makes independent Decisions for proposals and provide Purchase Requisition guidance as needed.
This position provides acquisition life-cycle management for various contract(s) in support of NASA programs and projects.
Coordinate with customers on requirements development, specifications, market research, funds tracking, documentation of contract(s) activities, and interfacing with service providers.
Support operational execution of NIA research, education, commercial and outreach efforts.
Research, assess, compile data, and assist in the program by the Contracting Officer Representative.
Assist with program compliance and provide recommendations for improvements to work practices and procedures.
Directs in analyzing and preparing program status reports, ensuring accuracy, and preparing presentations for review as needed.
Coordinate with requisitioners, the Contracting Officer, and NIA in providing support for the NIA IDIQ task order process from requirements development to task order award and closeout track deliverables, assist in closing tasks, provide analysis as needed, and add new users to the Government's NIA tracking system database.
The Contractor shall analyze the funding data from the NIA Annual Performance Report.
Required Education and Experience:
Requires 24 semester hours of college coursework in business-related fields or a bachelor's degree in any field of study.
Requires proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point. Must possess good communication and listening skills, be detailed, and customer service oriented.
