Position Overview:

The Acquisition Specialist shall provide acquisition and contract management support for a variety of organizations across the Center.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Receive and process performance plans and updates, and awards.

  • Makes independent Decisions for proposals and provide Purchase Requisition guidance as needed.

  • This position provides acquisition life-cycle management for various contract(s) in support of NASA programs and projects.

  • Coordinate with customers on requirements development, specifications, market research, funds tracking, documentation of contract(s) activities, and interfacing with service providers.

  • Support operational execution of NIA research, education, commercial and outreach efforts.

  • Research, assess, compile data, and assist in the program by the Contracting Officer Representative.

  • Assist with program compliance and provide recommendations for improvements to work practices and procedures.

  • Directs in analyzing and preparing program status reports, ensuring accuracy, and preparing presentations for review as needed.

  • Coordinate with requisitioners, the Contracting Officer, and NIA in providing support for the NIA IDIQ task order process from requirements development to task order award and closeout track deliverables, assist in closing tasks, provide analysis as needed, and add new users to the Government's NIA tracking system database.

  • The Contractor shall analyze the funding data from the NIA Annual Performance Report.

Required Skills

Required Education and Experience:

  • Requires 24 semester hours of college coursework in business-related fields or a bachelor's degree in any field of study.

  • Requires proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point. Must possess good communication and listening skills, be detailed, and customer service oriented.

Duties entail coordinating with customers on requirements development, specifications, market research, funds tracking, documentation of contract(s) activities, and interfacing with service providers. In the Office of the CIO the employee will provide a broad array of management, logistics, and operational support in the administration and service delivery of Langley's I3P tasks. Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): * Interface with the Langley user community to help ensure IT services are effective and efficient. * Solicit and track feedback from points of contact (POCs) from Langley organizations on IT services. * Verify feedback from POCs using available information from Government and Contractor systems and provide report of POC issues to the Government. * Track status of issue resolution plans and actions and report status information to the Government to facilitate issue resolutions. * Participate in POC meetings and other ad hoc meetings as necessary to provide contract-related information to customers and to assist with issue resolution. * Serve as the primary POC for all customer inquiries related to the I3P contracts. * Collaborate with the OCIO Communications team for quality assurance of I3P communications. * Provide support for the monthly refreshes for ACES computer seats, cell/smart phones, and iPads including: preparation of communication to POCs and users on upcoming refresh candidates and order due dates; track the status of daily refreshes planned and conduct random customer satisfaction follow-up calls to users of newly-refreshed systems; keep a log of each call and compile feedback to provide to the I3P Center Integration Lead (CIL) on a monthly basis. * Assist in processing orders for service that Langley organization POCs initiate via the appropriate ordering system including: reviewing orders for completeness, technical correctness, and compliance with Government policies. * Approve orders, coordinating with government subject matter experts as necessary, so that they are routed to the I3P Contractor for implementation and coordinate with the Government for continuous improvement of these processes. * Provide guidance to customers on how to obtain services and provide support to customers with order generation and clarification of service-related issues. Required Skills Required Education and Experience: * Pursuant to a Government contract, the position requires U.S. citizenship status. * Must be able to obtain/maintain eligibility for a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and favorably complete a FBI Fingerprint History Check. * Requires 24 semester hours of college coursework in business-related fields or a Bachelor's Degree in any field of study. * Requires proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point. * Must possess good communication and listening skills, be detailed, and customer service-oriented Alutiiq LLC Hampton VA
