Acquisition Logistics Engineering- Internship
KBR Acquisition Logistics Engineering (ALE) is seeking to hire a Intern to support the of both new designs and solving problems in legacy systems. This group is responsible for addressing the life cycle issues of complex systems using a unique combination of technical, business, and practical skills. ALE applies analytical methods to improve the quality of complex systems and equipment. Specifically, performing engineering analyses in areas such as reliability, maintainability, testability, human factors, and system safety, both as stand-alone projects and in support of broader efforts involving system level logistic and life-cycle-cost analysis. ALE determines logistics support requirements, such as facility details, staffing needs, or safety or maintenance plans. Additional duties will include:
Develops and documents reverse logistics management processes to ensure maximal efficiency of product recycling, reuse, or final disposal.
Prepare financial documents. Develop or maintain cost estimates, forecasts, or cost models.
Develop specifications for equipment, tools, facility layouts, or material-handling systems.
Develop technical specifications for systems or equipment.
Collect and analyze data for the purpose of providing alternatives and recommendations in deployment of new and improved deployment concepts for incorporation into Materiel Fielding and Supportability Documentation.
Perform studies and provide recommendations for Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) initiatives necessary for inserting environmental sensors to identify environmental conditions related to system faults.
