Short Description

This newly created position is focused on penetrating and landing net new customers in the Fortune 500 segment. The account list is comprised of named accounts headquartered in the 14-State Central Region that are not leveraging Avaya solutions today. The role will be supported by an extensive team of experts in Avaya's diverse solution-set as well as executive management to optimize the chances of success This is a very visible role so the individual must relish the spotlight. The job requirements include:

  • A professional demeanor and experience talking to Fortune 500-size customers

  • Collaboration and team-oriented skills are a must, including fully leveraging the entire team of internal specialists and executive management

  • Proven experience with a direct selling model (i.e. no reseller involvement)

  • Proven experience with Line of Business penetration and how to maneuver thru a corporate hierarchy

  • Thorough knowledge of question-led selling skills that are focused on business outcomes

  • Knowledge of financial modeling tools like ROI and TCO and how to explain them

  • Knowledge of OPEX models and selling Cloud and/or "as-a-Service" solutions is preferred

  • A working knowledge of contact center functionality including ACD/CTI/IVR/Omnichannel/Reporting

  • A working knowledge of both IP telephony and Unified Communications

  • An understanding of UC/CC roles and job functions within accounts

  • Willingness and ability to travel to meet customer stakeholders around the United States

  • Dedicated workspace at home and ability to work in a self-directed fashion to optimize productivity

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university

  • Five years selling IT solutions with demonstrated success

  • Three industry-related references

The Account Manager oversees the development and implementation of the post campaign process, while contributing to its strategic direction. This position includes daily Account Management tasks and a focus on upsell/resell and overall client health. Key Duties / Responsibilities: Account Growth * Demonstrates a solid understanding of the Client's business and actively seek opportunities for further account development. * Performs strategic account planning, based on insights, client objectives/KPIs and Valassis Digital's product suite and capabilities. * Participates in the development and delivery of campaign insights, recommendations, and additional budget opportunities to clients. * Develops overall Client Strategy through frequent collaboration with Media Strategy and Operations leads. Executional Excellence & Client Service * Single point of contact for Client, Sales, & Operations * Accountable for seamless campaign execution. * Provides internal focus responsibilities such as ensuring campaigns, reports and projects are functioning properly – escalate improvements to tools and process as needed. * Maintains solid knowledge of Company capabilities; is at ease answering questions from the Sales team and Client's regarding capabilities and product offerings. Team/Employee Development * Participates in role and team trainings, proactively shares feedback/ideas for the betterment of the AM role. * Communicates with Account Supervisor to manage bandwidth and workload, ensuring tasks and assignment deadlines are always 100% met. * Actively participates in helping to drive incremental revenue in order to meet team and company revenue goals and sharing successes across team members. Experience / Skills / Abilities: * 2-3 years experience in strategic Account Management (track record of meeting/exceeding upsell/resell quotas is a plus). * Bachelor's degree * Solid understanding of the customer journey process and idea-driven toward the improvement of existing strategies and executions. * Ability to see the "big picture", identify key issues, and provide proactive tactical and strategic recommendations. * Excellent communication skills, including the ability to produce exceptional work (written, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) independently and efficiently. * Strong cross-functional partnerships / established relationships. * Ability to excel in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires fast learning and flexible thinking. * Detail-oriented and diligent work ethic with excellent organizational, project/time management, and problem-solving skills. * Strong team player.
