This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operational and compliance aspects of the deposit services department. Duties and responsibilities include:
Monitors and coordinates the productivity and daily functions of the Deposit Services staff to maximize department and operational efficiencies;
Provides support, assistance and backup to all deposit services functions including, but not limited to: NSF/OD processing and exception item processing, adjustments, chargebacks, safe deposit, research, withholding, holds and stop payment processing;
Provides support, assistance and backup to certificate of deposit and IRA processing. Remains up to date on compliance and regulatory changes and requirements related to IRA's. In addition, working with the training team to develop and update IRA related training;
Responsible for receiving and processing all Legal Process documents served to the Bank including levies, writs, deceased customer claims, escheat processing, garnishments and attachments;
Ensures procedures are maintained and kept current for department and related activities. Responsible for the Deposit Account Manual, IRA Manual and forms specific to the deposit functions;
Works directly with Community Banking and Training to develop and update new deposit account documentation and processing. Specifically, CIP requirements, new account documentation, missing document reporting and tracking and deposit account maintenance functions;
Management of the bank's core processing system as related to the deposit products and functions. May enter various data on the core processing system, i.e., changes and/or updates product types and various other information on customer deposit accounts;
Meet established department goals with minimal supervision; update manager on all major projects, employee issues and goal progress;
Continuously drive efficient processes and add value to business partners and customers;
Keeps current with, supports and complies with all bank and regulation policies, procedures and/or guidelines; and,
Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
A high school diploma or equivalent with an emphasis in a business curriculum;
Excellent reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills;
Excellent interpersonal relations and communicative skills:
Excellent typing and computer skills;
Proficient manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; and,
Visual and auditory skills.
A minimum of two (2) years of deposit and/or office operations experience, or relevant work experience in the financial services industry;
Supervisory or management of direct reports experience;
Must possess the ability to set priorities, manage tasks and meet deadlines; and,
Knowledge of State and Federal regulations affecting deposit accounts.
