ACH Operations Business Analyst is a dynamic role where your skills in file management, financial data processing, and communication will make a significant impact.

Although titled as a "Business Analyst," this position more closely aligns with the responsibilities of a back-office operator or a processing control technician responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of ACH transactions between financial institutions and the Federal Reserve.

ACH Operator Back Office Role:

The ACH Operator is vital for processing all ACH transactions between depository financial institutions.

We serve as a central facility, receiving entries from originating financial institutions and facilitating their secure transfer to the appropriate receiving depository financial institution.

ACH Operations Back Office position.

What you will be doing:

  • Monitoring Transaction Flows: Vigilantly oversee the collection and distribution of ACH files to guarantee the secure and efficient transfer of financial data.

  • File Validation: Verify the integrity and accuracy of incoming and outgoing files from the Federal Reserve, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Multi-Platform Support: Quickly adapt to and proficiently handle tasks across various ACH platforms to maintain operational continuity.

  • Error Resolution: Identify and address error messages promptly, ensuring the smooth execution of financial transactions.

  • FIS Ticketing System: Efficiently process and complete requests from banks using the FIS ticketing system, demonstrating a commitment to timely issue resolution.

  • Effective Communication: Initiate proactive communication with banks to address issues, fostering solid relationships and swiftly resolving discrepancies.

  • Problem Solving: Apply your problem-solving skills to resolve issues swiftly and implement effective solutions, maintaining the reliability of ACH operations.

  • May train internal employees on changes to business practices, processes or procedures.

  • May perform special projects upon request and on occasion.

  • May provide coaching and/or guidance to less experienced Business Analysts.

  • Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you will need:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Banking, Payments, Finance, or information systems

  • Prompt and Dependable worker.

  • Maybe required to work at other times depending on staffing needs.

  • Strong PC Skills

  • Ability to learn new programs quickly and efficiently.

  • Knowledge of financial analysis, principles and ratios

  • Proficiency in industry standard process methodology.
