Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.

Monday

  • Friday, 1:30 pm

  • 10:00 pm

Eligible for 10% shift differential

Purpose/Objective:

Receives and processes incoming ACH files from the Bank's TPS / Payroll customers and the Federal Reserve. Performs pre-funding and limit analysis to determine if the file(s) can be originated. Transmit ACH files to the Federal Reserve multiple times a day. Performs detailed work that requires knowledge of establishes ACH rules, policies, procedures, and practices as they relate to the position's ACH functions. Work involves contacts with personnel of other departments within the bank, representatives of other banks, and corporate customers.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Processes incoming and outgoing ACH file transmissions during the evening shift.

  • Performs pre-funding analysis to compare the ACH Credit Risk to the amount of collected funds on deposit as well as predetermined origination limits assigned to each individual TPS / Payroll customer. Initiates corrective action if file(s) is/are not properly pre-funded or limits exceeded.

  • Transmit outgoing ACH files directly to the Federal Reserve according to bank policies and procedures.

  • Reviews and processes exception items (returns and notices of correction).

  • Tracks large return items received by the TPS / Payroll customer and their resolution.

  • Provides ACH customer service to TPS / Payroll customers.

  • Respond to external banks' requests concerning ACH transactions originated by a TPS / Payroll customer.

  • Assist in tracking data to compile monthly billing.

  • Perform individual reconciliations for each ACH file created and transmitted to the Federal Reserve.

  • Perform End of Day reconciliations and functions.

  • Provides backup coverage for ACH Department's day shift as required.

  • Performs additional duties as requested.

  • Ensures compliance with the NACHA Rules as well as all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • 2+ years banking and/or ACH experience preferred

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Extreme attention to detail

  • Strong analytical capabilities and communication skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Customer service skills

  • Basic accounting/bookkeeping knowledge

  • General office skills

  • Ability to work independently
