2019 Summer Internship Program-

The Ace Internship program allows you to apply skills and knowledge you're learning in College, while contributing to exciting, real-world projects. We will provide hands-on experience to fit your career objectives, complement your academic work and enhance your learning. This paid internship runs for approximately 12 weeks throughout the summer and will give you know-how that future employers will looks for! Want to hear more? All Internship positions are based out of our corporate office in Oak Brook, Illinois and placement is based on the candidate's experience, skill set & interests. The following departments will have internship opportunities available for our 2019 Summer program:

  • Community Relations

  • Inventory

  • Information Technology

  • Merchandising

  • Retail Operations

  • Retail Analytics

  • Wholesale

What you need to succeed as an Ace Intern:

  • Entering Senior year of college, working towards a bachelor's degree

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent time management, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Adaptability and ability to learn quickly in high-pressure environments

  • Ambitious self-starter who has demonstrated the ability to contribute as an effective team member

  • Demonstrated motivation and initiative to succeed

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday

  • Friday for 12 weeks in the summer (May 20th and May 28th)
  • Willingness and ability to give presentations to colleagues, managers and directors

Your Responsibilities We are looking for a collaborative business partner with exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills to help build the operational foundation for Ace's new wholesale business, Emery Jensen Distribution (EJD). You will serve as a Business Process Consultant on the team responsible for operationalizing our new business model. Emery Jensen is an exciting start-up venture for Ace, and your contributions will help shape our future long after your work is complete! As a Business Process Consultant, you will research, develop and implement processes for one or more critical business capabilities to support the EJD business. You will collaborate with leaders across sales, merchandising, supply chain, customer service, accounting, IT and other functional departments. Your work will ensure that all Ace internal departments that support Emery Jensen are aligned with our direction and strategy. Day to day, you will partner directly with our Vice President of Wholesale Operations and the Operations team to ensure that the processes you build are consistent, repeatable and scalable for our business. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in general business operations and exposure to multiple business functions. Additional duties will include: * Research one or more business capabilities needed to support EJD Wholesale Business * Interview cross functional partners to identify business requirements * Define purpose, accountability and execution steps * Build process flow to drive consistency, repeatability and scalability * Develop standard operating procedures and documents * Prepare deployment plans, change management strategies and training presentations * Conduct training and champion adoption by the business.
