Awake Residential Counselor Overnight

Mental Health - Transitional Aged Program

Eliot's Adult Mental Health Division provides an integrated and comprehensive network of services to adults with psychiatric disabilities that promote consumer rights, responsibilities, rehabilitation, and recovery. We provide rehabilitative services that enable people to increase functioning in the living, working, and social environments of their choice.

Eliot Community Human Services' is seeking an overnight awake counselor to support and assist consumers residing at one of our residential programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist consumers in skill development

  • Medication administration

  • Assist residents in community activities,

  • Assist with ADLs

  • Ensure Safety of Residents

Schedule: Thursday through Saturday 11pm-9am

Pay rate: $15p/hr

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency, BA preferred. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and possess a MA. Driver's license and reliable transportation.

Eliot's Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) program is an innovative clinical model that focuses on meeting each individual where they are at as we develop creative clinical interventions to support individuals in achieving their life goals. Eliot is seeking an experienced Program Manager with outstanding managerial skills, experience with residential programs and supervisory experience. The Program Manager will be scrappy, emapthetic, and motivated to improve the lives of adult with mental illnesses. Our ideal candidate will be driven, with an interpersonal savvy that allows you to develop lasting relationships with both the people we serve and with ACCS Team Members. Responsibilities: * Manage and oversee the day to day operation and overall service delivery of assigned Group Living Environment (GLE) or Supported Independent Environments (SIE) in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, agency and program policies and procedures. * Coordinate and oversee all case management related services for persons served in the program. This include assisting persons served with managing income, insurance, other entitlements, accessing other services and community resources and scheduling/coordination of all medical and psychiatric appointments. * Create a culture of hope, recovery and resiliency at the program to promote persons strengths, preferences and independence. Ensure that each environment is recovery focused and encourages every person to achieve goals and transition to more independent living. Ensure that each program supports persons served in accessing and utilizing natural supports and community resources. * Promote hope and empowerment through meetings and support with persons. Empower persons to exercise autonomy in all aspects of their life. Assist persons with identifying choices and developing skills in self-advocacy. * Participate in the Assessment process and the development of Treatment Plans. Ensure that treatment goals are culturally competent, realistic, attainable and promote recovery. Ensure that each person is actively involved in their treatment planning process and their preferences are embraced. Maintain progress notes and all documentation related to the Treatment Plan and contact with person. Ensure that documentation is written in a timely manner and is measurable, observable, objective and utilizes clinical terms. * Ensure that person's strengths, motivations and preferences are included in goals, services and interventions provided. Requirements Must have bachelor's degree or master's degree in psychology, social work or related field and three years experience. Must have a strong commitment to mental health recovery. Must have ability to provide supervision and leadership to direct care staff. Must have skills to establish supportive relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses and respect for their preferences for treatment. Must have ability to provide flexible services that are community based and focused on team work. Computer literacy and skill in the use of computers and related software applications. Ability to consistently meet all necessary background and credentialing requirements. Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Must have reliable telephone notification system for emergency contact.
