Position Summary:

The Accreditation Specialist ensures continuous regulatory compliance for assigned areas within licensed/accredited facilities. The Specialist consults and assists in the development, implementation and measurement of complex cross-functional performance assessment and improvement projects/initiatives for hospital licensure and accreditation.

The Specialist assures accreditation participation requirements for their assigned licensed/accredited facilities for The Joint Commission and CMS. The incumbent conducts ongoing performance analysis to identify clinical outcome and other improvement opportunities, coaches/educates providers and management and supports teams/task forces to ensure successful outcomes of projects. The Specialist builds and maintains strong business relationships with leadership, agency personnel, providers, and employees system-wide to facilitate the overall accreditation and regulatory compliance strategies.

Minimum Requirements:

Three (3) years clinical experience in an acute care setting

Five (5) years experience working in a quality services or accreditation support function in a healthcare setting

Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Bachelors degree in health care field

Masters degree in health care field preferred

Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Washington preferred

Certification in related subject preferred

The position is responsible for monitoring and assuring that an adequate level of supplies and patient care equipment are maintained within the Materials Department and appropriate par level supply storage areas. As a member of the Supply Chain Operations team, the Distribution Specialist shall make a concerted effort to resolve and fulfill all customer requests and inquiries in a professional and timely manner. This position works under limited supervision. Work situations are routine and physically demanding. This position requires organization, attention to detail, and customer service skills. This position requires the ability to use multiple software applications constantly during performance of all job duties. Internal contacts include staff and management throughout the organization. External contacts include vendors and suppliers.
