Accounts Receivables Assistant (Temp 3 Months)

Summary of Job Duties:

Under the supervision of the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services to the Account Department to ensure accurate and efficient posting of payments.

Specific Job Duties:

• Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.

• Create invoices according to company practices; submit invoices to customers.

• Maintain and update customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailings.

• Create reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.

• Cop, file, and retrieve materials for Accounts Receivable as needed.

• Learn and use enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and credit card processing machine.

• Process credit slips for credit card charges in a timely and accurate manner.

• Post, apply, and reconcile credit card transactions electronically on customer accounts.

• Cross-train in other positions as needed.

• Help with other tasks as needed including posting and applying cash on delivery (COD), checks received from carriers, posting and applying of net checks, filing, sorting paperwork, and other assignments as requested.

• Support all A/R and Collection positions as needed including administrative help, such as filing.

• Perform all other tasks as assigned by Threshold management.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Required:

• Passing grade of 70% on timed 10-key test.

• Six months basic accounting experience, such as cash handling and money reconciliation, A/R, or A/P.

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical computations at a high school level.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Words, and Windows.
