What you'll do on a typical day:
Review daily, weekly and monthly production volumes
Work with internal operations and support teams to ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments and other AR functions
Audit customer AR rates to ensure accurate billing; monitor all audit functions daily and assign workload to avoid any past-due tasks
Monitor and contribute to the organization's competitive edge by developing and executing best-in-class strategies; provide recommendations for process improvements on an ongoing basis
Develop direct reports to increase the bench strength and flexibility of the team; ensure that employees receive appropriate training and resources to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently
Handle all supervisory-level responsibilities for staff, including hiring new team members, developing employees, conducting performance reviews and coaching/counseling staff
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
3 years of experience in accounts payable or related area, including 2 or more years of experience managing professional staff, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Oracle Financials software

Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate and present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
Excellent interpersonal and management skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and get along with diverse personalities
Strong time and project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads
Ability to develop insightful, value-added and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding drivers of those results
Ability to effectively identify and resolve problems in high-visibility, high-stress situations
