Responsibilities:

  • Oversees accounts receivable operations.

  • Trains, schedules,assigns, and reviews work of staff.

  • Analyzes major accounts and prepares monthly reconciliation of subsidiary accounts to general ledger.

  • Develops and implements record keeping systems, forms, policies, and procedures related to billing,processing payments, and other accounts receivable activities

  • Provides input to Controller to assist in developing and pursuing collection strategies.

  • Identifies and resolves problems and inconsistencies and suggests appropriate corrective procedures.

  • Communicates and coordinates accounting policies, practices, and procedures with department and ISN managers and officials, vendors, reporting agencies, clients, customers,and the public.

Education/Experience:

Associates degree (AA)in finance or accounting plus minimum of three years accounting experience supervising others; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have significant working knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Accounting software

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises employees in the Accounts Receivable department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the ISN's policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees;planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
