This position is responsible for accounting processes associated with accounts receivable. This includes preparing, reviewing, and sending invoices; monitoring receipt of timely payments; and reconciling associated general ledgers and house accounts for accuracy. This position will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate month-end financial records, and assist with other departmental support as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in new customer credit approval process, including running credit checks and verifying credit references.
Timely and accurate preparation and distribution of invoices.
Review and monitor of AR aging reports.
Facilitate monthly credit meetings between accounting team and sales staff.
Maintain applicable general ledger, clearing, and house accounts.
Reconcile online ticketing systems.
Assist with hotel cash reconciliation.
Respond to guest or client inquires effectively and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
2+ years' Accounts Receivable experience, including preparing invoices and communicating with clients.
Accounts receivable experience within a hospitality environment.
Excel experience.
Able to pick up new technology in a timely manner.
Understanding of accounting processes and GAAP principles.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to position self to move about.
The employee frequently is required to operate and use accounting tools and equipment; and communicate with guests, employees, and management.
The employee may need to travel (locally) to other properties occasionally.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
