JOB SUMMARY
Kutak Rock LLP is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for the Accounting and Finance Department in its Omaha, NE office. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and inquisitive person that enjoys researching and solving problems through accounting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Gather and verify client invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
Maintain accounts receivable records, documenting credits and collections applied
Research partial payments and uncollectible amounts are accounted for and miscellaneous differences are cleared
Perform daily cash management duties accurately
Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail with a professional demeanor
Support other accounting and finance team members with additional tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities
Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
Highly organized, able to prioritize work assignments and multitask.
Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy in work product
Experience accounting software a plus (Aderant)
Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills while working collegially with clients, attorneys, and staff
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience
Associate's degree in Accounting or related field or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred , High school diploma (or equivalent) with relevant experience required
Relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping or cash management in a law firm preferred
POSITION INFORMATION
Salary Range: $48,500 - $58,250
Position Status: Non-Exempt
Workplace Arrangement: Hybrid 3:2
