MAG Aerospace is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to directly support the company's rapidly growing Government and Civilian Aerospace Industry sector.

Ideal candidates will provide financial, administrative and clerical services. Accounts receivable duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts. the AR Specialist will post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions and post revenues by verifying and entering transactions form lock box and local deposits. As well the AR Specialist will maintain detailed records concerning invoices, debits, and credits.

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.

  • Posts revenues by verifying and entering transactions form lock box and local deposits.

  • Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.

  • Maintains records by microfilming invoices, debits, and credits.

  • Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, and from customers;

  • Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.

  • Resolves invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures.

  • Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line; coordinating contact with collections department.

  • Summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verifying totals; preparing a report.

  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

  • Must be proficient in Excel, Outlook and other general computer skills

  • Must be able to communicate with internal and external

  • Must be able to work Monday- Friday with the occasional weekend

Required Education and Experience

  • High diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education / Certification / Experience: (education that is not necessary but will make a candidate more qualified for the position)

  • Bachelors with a financial accounting focus

  • This is a full-time salary position


  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although out-of-the-area and overnight travel are expected to visit other company sites up to 10% travel expected.
