Employment StatusPart-Time Overview

The Part-time Accounts Receivable Representative is responsible for timely preparation, review and collection activity of all invoices, and billings on accounts receivable customer accounts, on Mon, Tues, and Weds of each week. This position will also support the Credit Manager and other Accounting staff in daily functions, as requested. The Accounts Receivable Representative's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, timely, responsive and accurate completion of the following duties. This is a Part-time position, reporting Mon, Tues, and Weds of each week. MUST have previous hotel front desk experience and proficiency with Opera.

Responsibilities

  • -Ensure Proper and accurate billing of all FIT, Corporate, groups, tour and airlines
  • -Apply analytical skills to ensure all accounts are maintain 100% for aging purposes for corporate review
  • -Manage billing for group, wedding, convention, including preparation and submission of invoices and reconciliation of PM accounts.
  • -Open and close PM account and also monitor A/R accounts that will be handling
  • -Closely work with Sales and Convention Service manager to make sure all master bills are set and settled within 72 hours period
  • -Monitor the credit trace report, timely check in PM accounts and following up on any account for which payment is not acquired
  • -Investigate and process daily guest inquiries regarding billing
    • Must have previous hotel front desk experience and profiency with Opera.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years Account Receivable and Collection or relevant experience. Must have working knowledge of general accounting principles

  • Must be proficient in Opera and have previous Hotel Front Desk experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred; Associate's degree will be considered with relevant experience

  • Experience in international business, preferable European business

  • Demonstrated knowledge of cash collection processes and procedures

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision

  • Outstanding critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Customer service oriented; Must display a positive and proactive attitude; Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

  • Proficient with Oracle accounting systems

  • Strong computer skills, including Excel

  • Ability to work overtime as necessary to complete assigned duties
