Accounts Receivable Specialist 2 - Healthcare

Position Description

Follow up of outstanding A/R all payers and/or including self pay and/or including resolution of denials. This position is responsible for handling all correspondence related to an insurance or patient account, contacting insurance carriers, patients and other facilities as needed to get maximum payment on accounts and identify issues or changes to achieve client profitability. Responsible for working EDI transactions and ERA files, including reconciling carrier submissions, edits and rejection reports. Ability to research and resolve accounts appearing on Delinquent Insurance Report, Collection Ledger and Government Payor report as directed by management making appropriate decisions on accounts to be worked to maximize reimbursement.

Minimum Requirements

  • 1+ years of work experience

Critical Skills

  • Medical billing experience preferred
  • MS Office; excel a must

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Good understanding of the A/R process.

  • Capable of meeting daily deadlines with little supervision.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Description: The successful candidate will perform Supplier Quality Engineering duties in support of the RMS supplier quality organization and will reside at the Clearwater Facility. Responsibilities include supplier quality activities on commodity and subcontract procurements. Products include a wide range of mechanical, electro-mechanical and electric disciplines. Requires close coordination with site Quality Program Managers and Program Management Office personnel. Also requires close coordination with RMS Supplier Quality Commodity Engineering. Reviews contractual and drawing requirements, identifies those requirements and applies the applicable quality flow-down text to purchase requisitions / purchase order in the P2P system. Requires a working familiarity with ISO 9001:2000 / AS9100 quality systems. Responsible for basic quality services including: supplier evaluation, verification of special processes, part acceptance planning, timely cause and corrective action implementation for affected products. Makes recommendations on supplier usage based current and/or past performance history, on market-based assessments, cost, inspection of facilities, and risk assessments. Skill/Experience/Education Mandatory: Excellent Oral & written communication, skills, Problem solving skills utilizing LM21 tools & techniques, Supplier Quality Engineering and/or Quality Program management experience. Supplier Quality P2P/COS/Solumina experience Knowledge of and experience with 3D modeling and Geometric Tolerancing & Dimensioning (GD&T) Degree in Mechanical Engineering DesiredAS9100 & ISO9001:2000, quality system experiences, Casual Analysis experience, understanding of the MRB process, Data analysis / SPC, Lean / Six Sigma & Green Belt, experience. Experience working in P2P, SAP, Solumina and EPDM Ability to analyze performance metrics, perform trend analysis, and implement preventative actions to preclude non-conformances and customer escapes. Root cause analysis and the ability to identify mistake proof solutions to complex problems with a focus on continual improvement. Lean/Six Sigma improvement tools such as Statistical Process Control and Variation Measurement and Management. Must possess the ability to communicate and collaborate with functions such as Engineering, Supplier Management, and Operations to ensure accurate quality requirements flow down to suppliers and for implementing necessary actions to ensure process and product improvements.
