Job Summary

Accounts Receivable Manager

This role is charged with the proper oversight of the collection and posting of receivables. The individual would also work with billing supervisor to ensure timeliness of billing. He or she shall work with any and all personnel to assure timely and accurate invoicing and rating occurs. The AR Manager will at times be required to interface with operational managers and leadership within the finance department.


  • Supervise accounts receivable department

  • Assure timely collection of monies due to the partnership, including posting of lockbox and other cash receipts.

  • Monitor and report on deviations from credit standards.

  • Work with billing coordinator to assure timely and accurate invoicing.

  • Manage cash application making sure all cash receipts are applied properly.

  • Set goals for the collection team and monitor progress on collections

  • Work with cash manager to develop cash collection and forecasting goals based on invoices and collection histories.

  • Develop and enhance process for collection of outstanding receivables

  • Monitor receivable balances and set goals for improvement of DSO

  • Conduct credit checks on all customer, establish and manage limits

  • Make recommendations to improve quality of invoicing and collection procedures.

  • Weekly reporting of invoicing totals/aging totals/cash receipts/invoice adjustments

  • AR Manager will be required to manage a staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Five years experience in credit and collections.

  • Superior spreadsheets skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • Knowledge of SAP and Elite or similar software is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.

  • Work independently and in a team with positive attitude

  • High energy level with ability to multi-task while balancing and prioritizing daily responsibilities.

  • Desire to use technology to solve business problems

  • Ability to function in high stress situations and build strong working relationships at all levels

  • Managerial skills and experience are a must.
