Position Title: Accts Receivable Deposit Clerk

Position Purpose:

Key Responsibilities
To account for all the financial transactions on a daily basis for both the Hospital and Physician Clinics.
To calculate and enter all data that is retrieved/received from all systems and input it on the appropriate spreadsheets.
To be able to utilize electronic recordkeeping systems to resolve balancing issues.
Responsible for documenting and reporting all financial errors that are created by employees to upper management.
Responsible for balancing the following spreadsheets on a daily basis: GL transfers, EFT Spreadsheet, Deposit Reconciliation, and Cash Balance Sheet. Setup Credit Card terminals, Orbitals, and Authnet Systems and train staff if necessary.
Electronically processes and balances all deposits through the EZ Deposit Banking System. Coordinates with the Bank, Hospital Departments and/or Clinics when there is a deposit issue.
Assist Accounting in resolving variances and credit card charge backs.
Responsible for doing the daily and monthly closes in the appropriate systems.
Assists clinic and hospital personnel with balancing their journal and batches on a daily basis.
Accountable for petty cash and the distribution of all money to the appropriate people.
Researches all overpayments and returned check issues; and all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Skills and Knowledge: Computer CRT knowledge; proficient typing skills and speed; knowledge of accounting principles; ability to resolve accounting issues related to cash posting.
Preferences
Education: Accounting education desirable
Experience: Two (2) years' experience in credit and accounting preferred but not required. Accounts Receivable experience preferred; insurance knowledge a plus.

Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Category III
Work Requirements
Sitting for six to seven hours a day at a computer; capable of reaching and/or working above and below shoulder level. Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling and standing; communication using telephone.
