Accounts Receivable Coordinator Responsibilities
Maintain accurate accounts receivable systems for the Nursing Home including but not limited to: census, bed hold listing, case mix changes, HIPAA invoice controls, guarantor information, resident income and accurate payor/billing codes
Prepare and mail all private pay, Medicare, Medical Assistance and Third-Party billing
Maintain accurate paper and electronic resident accounts receivable records including but not limited to: admission agreement, W-9, communication with various payors, brief data sheets, Medicare denials, County paperwork, Casemix letters and copies of insurance cards
Assist the Business Office Manager/VP of Finance with cost reporting functions
Obtain pre-authorization for resident stays when necessary
Communicate with county and resident/family regarding Medical Assistance cases
Assist with year-end audit
Work closely with Nursing Home Case Managers regarding authorizations for payment and establishing the correct payors

Qualifications
Accounts Receivable Coordinator Qualifications
Post secondary accounting or business-related education and/or equivalent related experience
Experience in Medical Assistance, Medicare, insurance and private pay billing
Ability to Multi-Task and prioritize
Ability to switch from one task to the next with ease
Computer experience in Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience with Point Click Care preferred
Must have a current, valid Drivers License with no driving violations within the standards of Good Shepherd's insurability programs
Ability to work with a wide variety of individuals in a fast-paced work environment
