Job Summary of the Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist:
The Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist duties revolve around successful collection of Accounts Receivable and enforcement of agreed upon payments terms. This position reports to the Credit Manager.
Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and administer credit and collection programs that consistently lead to achieving or exceeding company financial goals
Monitor the collection of amounts due to the organization
Enforce collection policies and agreed upon payment terms with customers such as unearned discounts and past due transactions
Research complex deduction adjustments and present resolutions
Ability to report weekly findings and present analysis on collection data
Coordinate and work with the sales team as necessary to collect all monies owed
Draw upon a variety of the Accounts Receivable field's concepts, practices, and procedures
Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Special projects as needed

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PeopleSoft a plus
Strong knowledge of Excel formulas for analysis
Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally and work as part of a dynamic team
Organizational skills must be top-notch as work assignments will change frequently
Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic
Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field desired
2-5 years' experience in Collections
