Job Summary

The Remote AR Collection Specialist is responsible for maintaining and updating customer accounts, generating invoice corrections, credit check and approvals, resolving customer billing problems and reducing accounts receivable delinquency.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Review, maintain, and monitor open accounts for collection efforts.

  • Review and approve credit terms and approvals with management.

  • Monthly reporting of key performance indicators such as Days Sales Outstanding and Accounts Receivable Turnover.

  • Make outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations.

  • Resolve client-billing problems and mitigate accounts receivable delinquency in a timely manner, while applying great customer service behaviors.

  • Identify issues attributing to account delinquency, provide potential solutions, and review with management.

  • Review and monitor assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports.

  • Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements.

  • Prepare correspondence to customer and send via applicable approved methods to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.

  • Locating and working with collection agencies, as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Key Performance Measurements

  • A score card that reflects performance in areas such as Days Sales Outstanding, Accounts Receivable Turnover, Collection of delinquent accounts, customer satisfaction, cash receipt trending, and issue resolution.

  • Resolving client-billing problems.

  • Management observation regarding attitude, diligence, team contributions, and willingness & ability to learn new skills and information. Other key metrics prescribed by Concentric Finance & Accounting leadership, resulting in positive customer and Company impact.

Requirements

  • High School or GED Diploma required. Prefer an Associate Degree from an approved two-year college or university or very strong equivalent experience.

  • Must have 1-3 years of AR Collections experience including interaction with a large customer base within ERP systems.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially with Excel, including Word and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to organize his/her own work and work independently, with limited supervision.

  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs, and across remote offices.

  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas (both written and verbal) to both internal and external customers and to listen effectively to customer needs.

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong workplace relationships with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments toward the greater good of the organization.

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.

  • Experience in a telecommunications environment is preferred, but not required.

  • Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy.

  • Capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently with a sense of urgency.

  • Skilled in negotiation.
