Key Business Objectives:

The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be a part-time position and will be primarily involved in submitting invoices online to third-party billing portals, communicating with customers regarding collections and recording cash receipts. The AR Clerk will report directly to the Accounts Receivable Manager and will be required to interface with operational managers. This position is based in Austin, TX.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Submit invoicing documents to customers via online third-party billing platforms and follow-up on customer questions, rejections, or disputes

  • Reconciliation of customer accounts to ensure all documents have been submitted timely and accurately

  • Follow up, collection and allocation of payments

  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities

  • Maintain up-to-date billing system and customer files

  • Follow established procedures for invoice submission, recording payments received, etc

  • Investigate and resolve customer queries

  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or personally

  • Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

  • Part-time hourly position

Skills/Capabilities and Education:

  • 2+ years of accounts receivable and general accounting experience is a plus

  • Knowledge of accounts receivable, as well as billing and collection general procedures

  • Experience with collections activities

  • Experience with online billing applications such as SAP Ariba and OpenInvoice/OpenTicket a plus

  • Knowledge of office administration and procedures

  • Proficient in relevant computer applications, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains accounting software a plus

  • Ability to understand written and verbal communication from the company and supervisor including training, procedures, instructions, etc

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Applicant must have the ability to legally work in the U.S.

Working Conditions:

  • Periodic lifting requirement of up to 25 lbs.

  • Working conditions are in an office setting, Mondy-Friday with hybrid options available

  • The incumbent spends the majority of time sitting or standing in a comfortable position with ample opportunity to move about
