Accounts Receivable Clerk (Part Time, Temporary)

This short-term, temporary position will be part time, 20-24 hours per week, for approximately 9 months.


The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for the daily processing of credit card transactions for customer payments. This position also assists in routine credit and collection activities, which include direct contact with customers and preparing and sending statements of account.


  • Processing Visa and MasterCard transactions

  • Entering cash receipts in Microsoft Dynamics GP software

  • Performing credit and collection activities when necessary, including:

  • Collection calls and emails to customers

  • Sending monthly customer statements of account


  • Regular and predictable worksite attendance

  • Ability to work under fast-paced conditions

  • Ability to make decisions and use good judgment

  • Ability to prioritize various duties and multitask as required

  • Ability to successfully work with others

  • Additional duties as assigned


  • Associate degree required or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience

  • Accounts Receivable experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook


  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP


  • Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as required

  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Assign delinquent accounts to third party agencies, monitor and file bankruptcy forms. Place and remove holds for priority registration and orchestrate the registration cancellation process. Prepare periodic reports for aging, collection activities, write-offs and other delinquency statistics. Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and face-to-face meetings. Process all collection agency remittances for A/R. Analyze A/R trends and activities to make possible adjustments to procedures. Required Education and Experience: * High School Diploma * Experience with collection of debts and working with collection agencies. * Higher Education experience desired but not required. * Experience analyzing financial trends * Proficient in Word and Excel.
