Accountemps is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. The main duties of this position include full cycle accounts receivable, including making collection calls to consumers and businesses, maintaining cash receipts journal, and reconciling accounts. This is a long term temporary position and is based in the River Falls, Wisconsin area. Your responsibilities

  • Test documents and codes

  • Complete a wide range of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

  • Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans

  • Offer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

  • Balance bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a number of different ledgers

  • Take care of payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

  • Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers

  • Communicate, reinforce, and support the values, culture, and mission of the organization


  • Be detailed, flexible, and organized

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

  • Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

  • Current and relevant ERP system experience

  • Strong familiarity with commercial collections

  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounts receivable

  • Billing experience
