This is a 3-month temporary assignment. The selected candidate will train at our headquarters based in Stow, Ohio Monday through Friday from 8-4:30. Following training, the candidate could possibly work on a hybrid schedule: Tuesdays through Thursdays on site, and Mondays and Fridays from home.
The compensation for this position is $17 per hour.
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our accounting team for a 3-month assignment and handle the filing of UCC liens for our secured loans. You will be responsible for preparing and submitting UCC-1 financing statements to the appropriate state agencies, as well as maintaining and updating the UCC records and reports. You will also assist with other accounts receivable tasks, such as invoicing, collecting, and reconciling payments from customers.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Process and file UCC-1 financing statements for secured loans in compliance with the Uniform Commercial Code and state laws
Monitor and renew UCC filings before expiration and amend UCC filings as needed
Maintain and update the UCC database and generate UCC reports as requested
Research and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to UCC filings or collateral
Prepare and send invoices and statements to customers and follow up on overdue accounts
Record and post customer payments and transactions to the accounts receivable ledger
Reconcile accounts receivable balances and prepare aging reports
Collaborate with the accounting manager and other staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency of accounts receivable operations
High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred
At least 3 years of experience as an accounts receivable clerk or UCC filing specialist
Proficient in UCC filing procedures and requirements across different states
Familiar with various types of collateral and secured transactions
Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and software
Excellent data entry, communication, and customer service skills
High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
