Accounts Receivable Analyst (Direct Bill)

Position Summary:
Accounts Receivable Analyst - Direct Bill is responsible for: ensuring timely and accurate refunds to policyholders and customers, preserving customer service quality standards and consistency through appropriate contact with the customer/policyholder, resolving customer/policyholder questions or payment discrepancies daily to solidify the accuracy of accounts receivable accounting, resolving direct bill returned payments, helping with the over 45 day direct bill report, help with bank decisioning when necessary.
Essential Functions:
Help with the direct bill daily cash postings by
Reviewing the return premium report to determine refund accuracy
Assisting in direct bill daily online decisioning process or when requested
Issuing bimonthly refund checks to insureds and bimonthly commission/fee checks to customers
Resolve payment discrepancies by
Contacting underwriting teams for appropriate endorsement issuance or correct our billing through premium data entry technicians
Contacting policyholders for replacement funds on payments returned by the bank
Respond to voicemail and e-mail messages the same day as they are received.If a resolution is not possible, provide the customer with a resolution timeline.
Review the over 45 day report monthly
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with various annual statement responsibilities as needed
Cover for your refund analyst partner in their absence
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: 4 year college degree and/or equivalent job experience
Experience: Previous accounting experience preferred
Specific Skills: Basic computer knowledge in Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook, math skills, oral and written communication skills, and organization
Working Conditions: Speed, accuracy, detail-oriented
