At CBL, Accounts Receivable Analysts:

  • Learn the basics of Mall Retail Operations

  • Process payments received from CBL regional and local retailers.

  • Troubleshoot tenant AR issues/concerns.

  • Prepare correspondence, spreadsheets, reports, etc. as related to tenant disputes.

  • Exercise flexibility by supporting other functional areas such as Lease Operations and Budgeting & Forecasting as needed.

  • Support various short-term projects.

  • Work cooperatively within a collaborative work environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or closely related field; Four-year degree preferred OR

  • A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in a business related environment, preferably involving AR or Collections. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a Two-year degree.

  • Ability to read, write, interpret and analyze documents such as leases, contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to speak effectively to retailers.

  • Good analytical skills to analyze and communicate financial impact of AR activity.

  • The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics: attention to detail, team player, strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, goal oriented and a self-starter.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Knowledge of a Yardi Commercial Property Management system and a CRM system is a plus.

  • Vaccination encouraged.

Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions. Level 2 reviewer of delinquent accounts from AR Clerks, contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment; Refers severely overdue accounts to 3rd party collections as needed. Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested. Researches customer discrepancies, credits, and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Manager and other staff. Collaborates with the accounting staff to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic (at least bimonthly) basis. Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed. Assist with the creation and maintenance of department standard operating procedures. Approves daily time of AR Clerks Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
