CB Insights is looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst to manage receivables in a fast paced, exciting environment. You will research, resolve, and communicate accounts receivable issues related to customer accounts. This includes creating client invoices, corresponding with customers to discuss past due accounts, processing payments utilizing various operating systems, researching payment disputes, and handling collections.

What You'll Do:

  • Generate invoices, including within customer portals

  • Own the vendor registration process

  • Follow up on collections and maintain accurate credit and collection notes on each customer

  • Review and rank customers by risk of collectability and monitor high risk accounts

  • Respond to customer inquiries; research unpaid or disputed amounts, identify issues

  • Coordinate review with all stakeholders on disputed items

  • Research as requested by customers or internal departments

  • Help with ad-hoc requests

What you'll have:

  • 3 + years of experience in a similar role

  • Experience working with Fortune 500 customers

  • Great communication skills -both verbal and written

  • Experience with Excel and Google Sheets

  • Detail-oriented, strong time management skills

  • Intacct and Salesforce experience is a plus

VIEW JOBS 1/16/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-04-15T00:00 We're seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our Finance team in our corporate office at 101 Greenwich Street, New York, NY. The Accounts Receivable Analyst will report directly to the Accounts Receivable Manager. What you'll do: As an Accounts Receivable Analyst, you'll help improve customer relations, increase timely customer payments, and build bridges with our Sales team. In our second hire in this new role, we're looking for someone who sees the big picture and balances customer relationships with collections. You'll have opportunities to create processes from the ground up, such as recording revenue and payments for new products. * Liaise with Meetings customers and our Sales and Production teams to manage collection activities and reporting, including following up on outstanding A/R balances and collecting all program balances prior to event dates * Manage our WorkPlace customers to make sure their balances are paid according to contracted terms * Serve as the main Finance team contact for customer accounts, providing day-to-day customer support, understanding customer needs, and suggesting timely solutions * Provide strategic analysis to enhance the customer experience, reduce outstanding receivables, and close balances * Analyze incoming cash weekly and monthly and update aging reports * Help reconcile and close the A/R ledger each month * Perform ad hoc financial analyses and participate in projects * Work closely with the A/R payment team to confirm that funds are applied accurately What we're looking for: * 3+ years in a customer-facing role (preferably hospitality, events, or financial services) * Multi-unit experience preferred – and if you have a foundation in best practices from a large company, plus startup experience, even better! * Reliable, flexible team player who demonstrates high levels of integrity and professionalism * High energy with hunger for knowledge and life experiences * Self-starter who works well on your own and in teams to meet deadlines * Ready to roll up your sleeves and dig into the details * Analytical, thorough problem solver * Demonstrated success in a dynamic, high-growth environment * Pitch in and help when necessary, even if it means shuffling your priorities * Solid computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint * Salesforce and ERP experience preferred Who we are: Convene designs and services premium places to work, meet, and host inspiring events.
