  • Previous Knowledge and experience with financial systems (Lawson, LMS, Micros).

  • Previous experience with use of financial mainframe applications and familiarity with Microsoft Excel VBA or similar tools for use in database creation and automation.

  • Previous experience working in a similar casino resort or Financial Shared Services Center setting.

  • Understanding of Hotel/Banquet/F&B Operations; vision to foresee operational improvements available to serviced properties

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Hotel Management or equivalent.

  • ARS certification (Accredited Receivable Specialist).

Performs day to day activities related to daily hotel operations. This includes, but is not limited to: daily hotel and comp audits, OTA billing and commission reconciliation, Group Sales invoicing, responding to and tracking of chargebacks, balancing hotel ledgers, guest collections, journal entries, and customer assistance. Will also be asked to provide additional support to the department as requested, with the expected ability and desire to gain progressive knowledge of on-property operations as well as other accounting departments within shared services. Ideal position for a recent graduate seeking experience in the hotel/casino industry with an accounting perspective or a current front of house individual wishing to begin a transition to the accounting/finance side.

Assigned tasks will require a mixture of data entry, technical, and analytical skills. The Process Specialist will work in a cross-functional team environment and have the ability to collaborate effectively to implement and maintain business solutions. * Complete daily departmental tasks; audit daily work for integrity and resolve and/or resolve any discrepancies to management. * Support, develop and maintain effective communication and excellent relationship with internal customers (included but not limited to business units, operations, property CFOs) including ensuring their requirements are identified and consistently met. * Participate in the development, design, measurement of assigned projects and ensure analytical and control activities are operating effectively within the department. * Support an effective relationship amongst the Finance Shared Services Center, the business unit, other corporate departments and ensures effective operational processes. * Participate in continuous measurement, development and improvement of customer service quality and efficiency with and on behalf of senior management across the Finance Shared Services Center. * Participate in LEAN educated training and offers ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement. * Support Company strategies and business plans to meet the individual and departmental performance requirements. * Provide customer, guests, and clients a WOW experience by exceeding expectations in customer service and actively engage in the guiding principles of the Company's service framework. * Adhere to department policies, procedures to ensure successful internal/external audits. * Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities and innovative ideas and communicate them effectively. * Demonstrate proficiency in systems associated with job functions. * Other job-related duties as requested.
