Job Title: Accounts Receivable Position
Status: Non-Exempt Full Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Report to: Controller
High School Diploma or GED.
Must have current Oregon Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
Must be able to be approved by the background criminal history unit.
Proficient in accounting procedures and have a strong accounting knowledge base.
Requires ability to use a computer and utilize/navigate the internet, email and database systems.
Ability to manage high-volume transactions
Requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who can successfully multi-task and consistently meet deadlines.
Well-developed, critical-thinking capabilities
5 years experience in Mid-Sized accounting software
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to interact on a positive basis with all levels of staff and customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The following is a list of major duties and responsibilities for this position. It is not all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be added as needed and, in addition, management as appropriate may modify this job description.
Assist in maintaining current accurate financial information for use with reporting using appropriate fund accounting methods (e.g., GAAP)
Code and enter cash receipts into the general ledger (Sage 100).
Work closely with other departments to maintain positive customer experience throughout the billing process to meet deadlines.
Prepare invoices and reports as directed by the fiscal standardize procedures and or funder inquiries format/template via website or direct with funders via email.
Accurately reconcile the balance for various accounts receivable, aging and collection reports.
Follow up with program managers and update them for outstanding receivables.
Monitor accounts receivable variance on delinquent accounts and take corrective action when necessary and inform funder for timeline payment as needed prior to contract end.
Collaborating with other billing team member for adjustment or credit memo timely.
Help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects.
Works closely with the Controller on revenue recognition and allocation and maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls.
Participate in strategic planning for the Shangri-La
Represent and advocate for the organization in the community.
Engage in organization capacity-building activities.
Attend staff meetings.
Adhere to Shangri-La regulations and guidelines.
Provide excellent customer service to all Shangri-La customers including Shangri-La clients, staff, donors, logistics personnel, agency personnel, volunteers, board members, and the general public.
Engage in the following tasks or behaviors that represent excellent customer service: timely responses, punctuality and attendance, treating others with respect, distributing quality product, being knowledgeable and providing accurate information, and using appropriate non-verbal and verbal communication.
General Duties and Responsibilities:

Attends and participates in required in-service training and meetings.
