We are actively seeking an Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our dynamic and fun accounting team! Our ideal candidate would hop on the phone with delight at the thought of working with our vendors to knock out aging reports, fist pump when payments are received, and dazzle us with their reconciliation skills!

At the direction of the Accounting Manager, this AR Accountant position will oversee accounting for assigned areas, ensuring efficient and GAAP-compliant accounting, reconciliation and reporting practices in accordance with Company accounting policies and procedures. This individual will interface regularly with Accounting & Finance management as well as a wide range of business unit team members.

Responsibilities

  • Execute according to monthly accounting close calendar and monitor against milestone dates to ensure timely, high-quality work product.

  • Assist Accounting management with documenting accounting procedures and SOX-compliant internal controls for accounting and reporting cycles within this position's scope of responsibility.

  • Prepare and submit all Franchise invoices monthly including royalties, ad fund, call center, product, supply orders, shipping, freight, etc.

  • Prepare monthly statements for Franchise partners.

  • Interaction with Wholesale and Franchise customers regarding payments and other inquires.

  • Process collections from Wholesale, Franchise, and E-Commerce customers.

  • Review AR Aging and follow up with customer on payment status.

  • Follow up on daily credit card chargebacks.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong capabilities in Microsoft Office computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • In-depth command of accounting software and reporting systems; experience in mid-size ERP systems and NetSuite a plus.

  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with accounting and non-accounting professionals.

  • Desire to drive process improvement.

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance.

  • Experience in consumer products and / or multi-unit retail organizations a plus.

Responsible for collection efforts by initiating collection calls, resolving collection issues including discrepancies and short payments, processing refunds and reducing delinquent accounts. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts and customer reconciliations. Coordinate with essential personnel in the sales department or senior management when necessary to accelerate collection process. Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable department. Responsibilities Major Duties: * Responsible for accounts receivable collections, reconciliation of customer accounts, and monitoring and resolving customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities. * Maintain a high volume collection call of assigned customer accounts and update billing communications via phone, e-mail, or facsimile. * Responsible for monitoring the missing PO report and collecting POs from customers or sales reps/clinicians. * Mail customer statements of account, delinquency notice, and provide other reports or documents as requested by the customers. Resolve disputes and price discrepancies. * Correctly code all receipts to the appropriate customer accounts; whether ach/wires, credit cards or local checks. * Document all customer communication at an invoice level through QAD and other tools (if any) and maintain support for all correspondences with customers, third party partners, as well as the sales reps, clinicians and all other internal partners. * Perform other duties as assigned or provide AR reports as requested, including but not limited to interface with internal and external customers, participate in team planning and defined goal oriented strategies and activity metrics. Qualifications Qualifications: * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong knowledge of the Billing and Collections procedures * Proficiency with Microsoft products including Excel, Word and Visio * Extreme attention to detail and high level of professionalism * Works independently with limited supervisory oversight required * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities * Medical Device company experience is a plus Education: * Requires a high school diploma * Bachelor's degree preferred Experience: * At least 5 years high volume progressive corporate collections experience, preferably in the medical device field. Work environment and physican demands of the job: The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers; talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and to move within and between the buildings. A computer terminal is used to access, input, and retrieve data.
