Accounts Payable Supervisor

Job Description Job Description CONTRACT: Accounts Payable Supervisor 9632 Our client, located in Uptown Dallas, is looking for an AP Supervisor to join their team for 7 weeks on a contract basis.

Commitment is required. Keys: SAP software experience highly preferred 5 years of AP experience required Multi-location experience strongly preferred Overview: The Accounts Payable Supervisor position will work with the accounts payable team on day-to-day activities supporting the US, including timely and efficient processing of invoices for assigned company locations as well as timely issuance of vendor payments.

The position will also work with internal procurement, team members in Poland, and other personnel to maintain vendor relationships and assist with resolution of discrepancies. Duties & Responsibilities: Work with accounts payable associates to review and approve weekly ACH, check, and wire transfer payments to vendors, and ensure proper transmission of payment files to banks Coordinate with internal procurement team, receiving personnel, and external vendors to identify and correct invoicing discrepancies and other issues Assist with treasury department third-party payment process and other working capital initiatives Collaborate with master data governance with ongoing maintenance of vendor master data to ensure accurate and timely updates Objectives:

Manage daily incoming vendor invoices efficiently to support timely processing and payment. Maintain and develop strong working relationships with the accounts payable team, procurement, other internal support personnel, and external vendors. Qualifications: 5 – 10 years of AP processing experience in a large multi-location environment High school diploma or equivalent Experience with invoice processing with 3-way match (purchase order, goods receipt, and invoice) and research/resolution of discrepancies Experience with processing ACH, check, and wire payments, including generation of related electronic bank files Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience with SAP is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple tasks Company Description Thomas Edwards Group is an Executive Search Firm specializing in the direct hire and interim placement of Accounting, Finance, HR and IT professionals.
