Accounts Payable Supervisor

Primary Purpose

Oversees the Accounts Payable department's daily operations and will direct the team to perform duties specific to their area of expertise.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Directly manages and facilitates all duties within their area. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, facilitating the Expense Reimbursement and Company Card program, assisting with reconciliation company-wide and completing month-end close of Accounts Payable. Processes daily WebCenter imports and researches discrepancies, processes Automated Clearing House (ACH) set-ups and changes and inputs new vendors and vendor changes.

• Provides clear direction and support for team activities. Monitors the daily performance of the Accounts Payable department. Guides training and development of the team to increase competency and commitment.

• Establishes accounts payable policies and procedures aligned with the company's targets.

• Assists and supports audit initiatives and provides performance and other ad-hoc reconciliations as requested. Manages month-end and year-end closing. Organizes financial data into useable information and maintains updated records.

• Promote and maintain a safe and secure work environment for associates, in accordance with Mountaire policies.

• Reports onsite daily.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 3 - 5 years' experience in an accounting supervisory position.

• Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas).

• Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations.
