A DAY IN THE LIFE
Our Accounts Payable Supervisor position is located in Little Rock, AR and will report to the Accounts Payable Manager.
As a key member of the Global Business Services team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
Responsibilities:
Oversees the training, mentoring and development or direct and/or indirect reports.
Manages the group and addresses employee performance and expectations as well as any employee concerns, and escalate as needed.
Hands-on approach and willing to jump in and process transactions in addition to supervisory responsibilities.
Ensures the timely and accurate payment of vendors and resolution of issues, and recommends process improvement measures to the AP Manager.
Manages performance and/or disciplinary issues of staff, and escalates issues to the respective Human Resources representative as appropriate.
Ensures the Accounts Payable department is compliant with internal processes for audit purposes, and notifies AP Manager if the aforementioned processes are not followed.
Responds to all assigned tickets via the Company's internal ticketing system to ensure internal customers are assisted in a timely and professional manner.
Acts as lead for the maintenance and reporting of metrics such as Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and Service-Level Agreements (SLA) according to internal timelines.
Support the annual 1099 reports to ensure all W-9 and Tax ID numbers are on file and up-to-date.
Works with the Master Data team to update and validate vendor maintenance information as required.
Retrieves payment receipts, copies of checks, and proof of payment for audit fulfillment selections.
Exercises safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.
Participates in company's continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.
Keeps up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.
Performs other duties as assigned.
YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
5+ years of related Accounts Payable experience
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study
Previous experience managing a team staff members
Proficient with Microsoft Office software, Google and/or PC programs
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel
Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Solid organization and time management skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently, managing multiple responsibilities (i.e. self-starter, self-motivated)
This position may require remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another, communicating with others to exchange information, repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of related experience
Familiarity working with Workday Financials, Engie, or other centralized utility vendors
