Accounts Payable Supervisor

Location Madison,WI Description ESC has an exciting direct hire opportunity for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to work for our premier client in their Madison, WI offices. Their finance department is growing, and the team is seeking an experienced accounting professional to assist in leading the company's accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities: Supervising the accounts payable staff Working closely with other finance supervisors to standardize payable processes and procedures for the company Ensuring policies and procedures are kept current Evaluating and recommending process improvements and enhancements to internal controls procedures Overseeing accounts payable and expense report processing, company credit card management, and the company travel program Coordinating training and mentoring less experienced staff. Some travel will be required. Required Skills:

The successful candidate must have a combination of education and/or experience totaling seven years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field plus 3 years in the professional services industry or Associate degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field plus 5 years in the professional services industry; or no degree plus 7 years in the professional services industry. At least 2 years of previous supervisory experience At least 5 years of accounting or accounts payable experience Experience using accounting system software (Deltek Vision preferred) Experience identifying, implementing, and documenting process improvements Strong time management, communication and organizational skills, Self-motivated, and can work well both independently and as part of a team
