Accounts Payable Specialist II

Agility Recruiting is partnering with a large construction company who is looking to bring on a full time AP Specialist II. This is a full time role reporting to their AP Manager. This is a great hybrid opportunity with only 1-2 days in office each week. 

This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both in the office and remotely. As the Accounts Payable Specialist you will play a crucial role in processing and reviewing invoices, ensuring proper documentation and approval before payment.

Responsibilities:

• Matching invoices to checks, obtaining necessary signatures, and responding to vendor inquiries.
• Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and assist in month-end closing processes.
• Processing two-way purchase order matching invoices with up to 100 plus line items, and meticulously maintaining files in accordance with company policy and accounting practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or associates degree in accounting, finance, or accounting a plus 
• High School Diploma or GED is required
• 3+ years of experience with Accounts Payable, ideally handling heavy volume AP processing
• Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, 10-key by touch
• Prior experience with JD Edwards (JDE) is a plus 
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and also independent
