Accounts Payable Specialist

Flynn Management Corporation, a premier property management company, has an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist based in our Clearwater headquarters.

Provide accounts payable and clerical support to the accounting department

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Confirm all Purchase Orders and invoices meet all accounting guidelines

• Confirm all invoices have the proper approvals and correct GL account codes assigned

• Communicate with fellow employees and Vendors regarding invoices, purchase orders and payments

• Enter approximately 300 invoices per week into 1 of 3 software platforms

• Update excel spreadsheets related to invoices and manager bonuses

• Process weekly check runs

• Review and process weekly employee expense reports

• Track and pay corporate retail spending account on a monthly basis

General Accounting

• Process all corporate bank deposits

• Willingness to learn & perform all aspects of the Accounting Department

• Backup for Accounting Clerk

• Assist Accounting Supervisor as needed

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of both Accrual & Cash basis Accounting

• Strong communication skills; Both verbal and written

• Ability to prioritize multiple complex tasks

• Exceptional data entry skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Understanding of general accounting principles & practices

• Knowledge of Yardi Voyager, Real Page One Site Accounting & QuickBooks is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

• HS diploma required
• 2-5 years of general accounting experience specializing in AP
