Accounts Payable Specialist

Salary: $32.69 - $33.65/hr

Summary of Overall Job

The Senior Accountant, Accounts Payable position is responsible for overseeing the accurate day-to-day operations of Accounts Payable, Payroll, Banking and completing high-level functions in these areas. This includes ensuring the accurately and timely payment of all invoices; ensuring the accuracy of the balance sheet and income statement; and serving as a liaison to various third-party organizations, such as customers, vendors, tax jurisdictions, accounting firms, and auditing firms.

Essential Duties:

Accounting:

• Initiates check and ACH payments utilizing the RAMP Platform

• Manages and pays for invoices expenses using the RAMP Platform

• Ensures accurate tracking of prepaids, accruals, and accumulated costs in the balance sheet

• Processes and pays all corporate and shareholder state and federal taxes

• Creates journal entries for all expenses and reconciliation of expense accounts

• Compares budgets to actual expenses and looks for cost saving opportunities

Accounts Payable:

• Receives and codes incoming invoice or payment requests

• Ensures timely and accurate entry of payable invoices

• Ensures regular and accurate invoice payment

• Identifies and resolves any billing discrepancies, and responds to vendor inquiries

• Sets up new vendors

• RAMP Administrator

• Compiles and sends out 1099s

Skills/Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of prior AP or related accounting experience

• Understanding of accounting principles

• Competence with computer software and hardware (Outlook, Excel, Word, FinancialForce, Adobe Acrobat)

• Experience with Salesforce CRM, preferred

• Experience with Ramp or Bill.com, preferred

• Experience with bookkeeping

• Must be in a work environment with reliable Internet access
