Accounts Payable Specialist

As a member of the Corporate Accounting group, the Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing all vendor purchase orders, invoices and payments.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure the accurate processing of International and Domestic Invoices

• Analyze and review the accuracy of coding invoices.

• Perform root-cause analysis and problem solving of discrepancies and unresolved issues.

• Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure accurate coding and approval of invoices.

• Maintain effective communication with internal and external vendors.

• Monthly Vendor Statement review to proactively avoid aging payables.

• Reply to vendor requests and inquiries in a timely manner.

• Serve as back-up to team members during time off or increased workload.

• Ability to work effectively across the organization and with all levels.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Assist in Month-End process.

• Yearly Audit Support

• Execute special projects as assigned.

• Assist with annual preparation of 1099's.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years Accounts Payable Experience

• Must be detail oriented.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Yardi accounting software experience a plus.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

• International invoice processing experience and understanding of foreign currency.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college-level accounting courses preferred
