Accounts Payable Specialist - Check Processor

The Accounts Payable Specialist makes an impact by -

• Verify all inventory, freight and PAA invoices using Adage to verify receipt and price ensuring the three-way match.

• Enter all inventory, freight and PAA invoices into Adage AP module as well as properly allocating freight fees to corresponding PO's.

• Collaborate and work effectively with department and cross-functional teams to define and implement process improvements that provide value to the customer.

• Ensure all applicable vendor discounts are taken.

• Manage all inventory vendor accounts including correspondence with vendors and statement reconciliation.

• Select vouchers for payment and generate checks on a weekly basis including commission and wire transfers. Prepare checks for distribution.

• Monitor AP Invoice Mailbox

• Prepare and submit Daily Milk Report bi-monthly

• Prepare and submit Container Cost Survey monthly.

• Provide milk and cream scans to cost accountant for state and federal milk audits.

• Responsible for upkeep of inventory, purchase order/receiving vendor files.

• Serve as backup for Maintenance Planner II (MP2) system/accounting administration.

• Provide suggestions to improve processes and gain efficiencies throughout the company.

• Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and FSMA guidelines as well as all safety regulations.

• Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the Safe Quality Foods (SQF) Food Safety and Quality.

• Demonstrates the ability to engage work in department and cross-functional teams to define and implement process improvements that provide value to the customer.

• Be accountable to the Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.
