The Position: We're looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist!
Position Purpose: The purpose of this position is to provide student payable functions for our 6 Aveda Institutes, including refunds, credit checks and living expenses.
Responsibilities: The team member in this position must exhibit certain characteristics and perform specific duties during their daily and weekly work week. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Uphold the Nurtur Core Values and Behaviors and Aveda Success Factors.
Record data and up-keep student ledger in an accurate and timely manner.
Accurately calculate student balances and any checks disbursed to students.
Schedule students during new school starts for their Title IV disbursements.
Communicate / interface with the schools.
Escalate institute and student challenges as needed.
Generate, analyze, and interpret reports from Fame/Freedom and Sales Force and other management systems as needed.
Perform duties as assigned and/or required to meet business needs.
Abide by all other Nurtur policies and procedures as outlined in the Team Member Handbook and Code of Conduct.
Minimum Requirements: The team member in this position must exhibit certain educational and experiential requirements, including:
Associate degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
Data entry
Prior work experience in a financial aid program environment (Title IV) preferred.
Exhibit self-direction, initiative, resourcefulness, and follow-through with the ability to work at a fast pace and handle multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Demonstrate extreme professionalism and confidentiality in manner, dress, and conduct.
Travel Requirements: Travel locally for training as necessary.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: The team member in this position will be expected to work in an office environment in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Sit at a desk with a computer for up to eight (8) hours per day.
Use hands to handle objects and reach with hands and arms.
Walk, sit, stand, balance, stoop, speak, and hear.
